How a star’s image develops over time through music videos? I am analysing Coldplay. The band were formed in 1996 by Chris Martin the lead vocalist and pianist and Jonny Buckland lead guitarist . They originally formed under the name Pectoralz. Then Guy Berryman joined as a bassist and they changed again to Starfish. Then Will Champion joined as a drummer and backing vocalist. Creative director is referred to as a fifth member of the band. The band named themselves “Coldplay” in 1998 before they recorded their EP’s the same year . The music genres are al ternative rock, post-Britpop, pop rock, pop and piano rock. There early image showed them as unique not only with the music they made but also with the way they made videos.
